The Gurgaon-based Management Development Institute (MDI) is all set to organise its third Global Conference on Managing in Recovering Markets (GCMRM). The conference is scheduled from March 11-13.
The business school had received about 340 research papers for the conference out of which over 120 were accepted for inclusion in the proceedings. Out of these 120 about 60 papers were accepted for presentation during the conference.
Over 125 participants registered are scheduled to present their papers in 4-5 parallel tracks in a total of five sessions. The important attractions of the conference beyond the presentation of the papers are a research symposium, and a CXO panel discussion.
The research workshop titled, ‘Paradigms and Methods for Innovative Research’ is slated for March 12. The CXO panel is also scheduled on March 12. Some of the industry leaders who will be part of the discussion include R.S. Borah, Director Finance at Oil India; Girish Aivalli, CEO of Rural Agri Ventures; Abheek Barua, Chief Economist, HDFC Bank; and Anirudh Patil, Director McKinsey Knowledge Centre, McKinsey Consulting, India.
The conference will host representatives from more than 50 Indian and international premier academic institutions. Started in 2014, MDI has successfully organised two international conferences on the theme so far. One was organised last year at MDI Gurgaon with a participation of more than 100 research papers. The second international conference was organised at the University of South Australia, Adelaide.
