NTPC's Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station situated in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh has won six “Swarn Shakthi Awards” and the overall championship at a function held at NTPC's Power Management Institute (PMI) in Noida. Mr Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC Ltd along with the board of directors presented the Championship Trophy and the “Swarn Shakti Awards” at PMI.
The Ramagundam station emerged winner in productivity, environment, corporate social responsibility and community development, employee relations categories and stood runners up in safety and Rajbhasha categories. Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station of NTPC, situated in Visakhapatnam, also bagged the runners up award in productivity.
