State-run BPCL has announced a price cut in petrol prices effective Tuesday/Wednesday. According to company officials, it was a “routine price cut” announcement. Petrol from BPCL stable in Mumbai will be Rs 74.43 (Rs 75.15), Delhi Rs 67.89 (Rs 68.47), Kolkata Rs 75.44 (Rs 76.15) and Chennai Rs 71.48 (Rs 72.20). “As part of our fortnightly review of prices based on international crude price fall and the rupee gaining strength, we have decided to announce this price cut in petrol from midnight,” said a BPCL official.
