Better price realisations and new orders have boosted vehicle and locomotive body maker Commercial Engineers & Body Builders Company's (Cebbco) net profit to Rs 7 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2011. This is higher than Rs 6 crore profit reported for the entire fiscal 2010-11. Total sales in the period stood at Rs 82 crore.
The firm was listed in October 2010, so a year-on-year comparison of financials is not possible. The company, which has clients such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, L&T, saw its operating margins jumping from 6.31 to 15 per cent in the quarter. Cebbco shares on the BSE fell 0.38 per cent to Rs 39 on Thursday.
