Serial entrepreneurs Ronnie Screwvala, Sashi Reddi, Krishnan Ganesh and Anand Ranganathan have co-invested $620,000 in Oximity, a news site that believes in gathering news from non-journalistic sources.
“I invested $165,000 (about ₹1 crore) in this start-up last year. Now, we have got more investors into this venture,” Sashi Reddi, who set up a ₹100-crore Sri Capital fund for investing in start-ups, told Business Line .
“ Oximity shows an interesting way to gather news from activists, from the ground,” he said. “The news media landscape is shifting rapidly, and in a few years, there will be an entirely new set of players dominating this space. We believe Oximity has the potential to be one of such dominant players,” Ronnie Screwvala said.
