SRF Ltd, a multi-business group engaged mainly in the manufacture of chemical-based industrial intermediaries, reported a 60 per cent increase in its net profit for the second quarter of fiscal 2014-15. SRF’s net profit for the second quarter stood at ₹77 crore against ₹48 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue during the quarter also increased 10 per cent to ₹928 crore from ₹844 crore in the same quarter last year. “The overall operations performed well this quarter. The company’s strategy of growing the chemicals business is paying dividends. Our traditional businesses should pick up once the economy rebounds,” said Ashish Bharat Ram, MD.
