Got a grievance against brands and services? Here's one more forum to voice your complaint. A new Web Site ( >www.consumercomplaintsindia.org) was formally launched on Wednesday giving a platform for consumers to voice their issues.

“We are quite concerned about consumer's problems. Everybody, including you and me, have some problem about a product or service, and so we thought of launching this forum,” said Mr Prince Mohan, who has created the platform. Mr Mohan is into the web business running sites such as >Currentnewsaffair.com and >Mindbodynsoul.com

From complaints against airlines to consumer durables to investors' issues and health and beauty-related, the forum will take complaints on literally all categories of goods and services and brands can directly respond to the consumers here. “When there are complaints, we will forward them to the company. If they don't answer then we advice complainant on the forums they can seek redressal from,” says Mr Mohan.

Given the growing consumerism in India (a McKinsey research says that in the next two decades India will be the world's fifth-largest consumer market), Mr Mohan feels that it is essential to plug in checks and controls within the system to ensure that the rights of the consumers are protected and the market is fair and transparent.
