Favourable market conditions and growth in top line and bottom line due to better product mix have helped V-Guard Industries Ltd to achieve a 26 per cent growth in its net profit in Q1.
The consumer electrical and electronics company registered a profit after tax of ₹22.25 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal against ₹17.64 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Net revenue from operations in the first quarter also witnessed a 17 per cent increase to ₹477.70 crore from ₹408.16 crore.
Mthun K.Chittilappily, Managing Director, said in a statement that the company registered good growth during the first quarter of 2014-15 fiscal in terms of revenue and profit. Business outlook remains positive and the company expects to keep the growth momentum.
He said that the premium electric water heater model Pebble will be launched nationally this financial year.
Besides in the new product category, a new range of mixer grinders would be introduced in Kerala before Onam and induction cook-tops have been launched in other south Indian markets, he added.
