Chicago-based mobile app development firm Softweb Solutions has launched artificial intelligence-supported ‘smart factory’ solutions for small and medium enterprises in India. The company, which currently caters to US-based clients such as Bosch and GE, has initiated engagements with entrepreneurs in Gujarat to provide solutions through Internet of things (IOT) to remotely monitor machines and factories.

“We have started engagements with SMEs in Gujarat, especially manufacturers of machines and tools in engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals and automobiles sector. AI can enhance efficiency, reliability, security and safety in an enterprise,” Ripal Vyas, President, Softweb Solutions, told BusinessLine .

Besides smart factory solutions, the company is also focussing on predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, data science and visualisations, enterprise mobility and augmented/virtual reality.

Softweb currently has a team of 450 developers, analysts, scientists and marketing executives in Ahmedabad catering to its US clients. “We are in the process of hiring 250 skilled and qualified human resources for the Gujarat expansion. We have a strong presence in North America with a dedicated development centre in Gujarat. But looking at the interest of SMEs in AI and smart factory solutions, we look forward to building good client base in this fiscal,” Vyas said.

Softweb Solutions is extensively engaged in data engineering and data science, building intelligence into applications, and implementing AI and machine learning technologies to numerous business scenarios.
