Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland has also stepped in with relief materials for affected people in the flood—hit city.
“Ashok Leyland adopted an old—age home, a home for mentally challenged and an orphanage where residents are provided with clothes, towels, sweaters, medicines among other essentials,” the company said in a statement.
Besides, volunteers from Ashok Leyland office in Ennore, and technical centre in Vellivoyal Chavadi provided food and essential commodities, it said.
A 24x7 helpline has also been set up to attend calls with regard to relief works, it added.
