The popular Days Inn brand of hotels has announced its intent to enter the fast-growing India market with the signing of contracts for the construction of three new full-service Days Hotels in different parts of the country.

“India remains a market where there is great potential for growth,” said Mr Ken Greene, Wyndham Hotel Group President and Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region.

Wyndham Hotel Group owns the Days Inn brand.

The three new hotels include the five-storey 48-room Days Hotel Neemrana on the Jaipur Highway, expected to open in March 2011; the five-storey 102-room Days Hotel Neemrana, Sahil Square, expected to open in January 2012; and the four-storey 80—room Days Hotel Asansol, which is expected to open in March 2013.

Wyndham Hotel Group currently has 11 hotels and more than 1,200 rooms in India under its Ramada brand.

The signing of contracts will add another 230 rooms to the Days Inn and larger Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio and comes on the heels of the recent announcement that the company will open its first Wyndham Hotels and Resorts branded property in India in April 2011, a media release said.
