Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp Ltd has launched 125cc Hero Ignitor in Hyderabad.
The company plans to launch several other models in the near and medium term but refrained to get into the details.
The motorcycle is priced at Rs 56,996 and Rs 59,031, respectively, ex-showroom in Hyderabad for two variants.
Volumes
The Zonal Head South, Hero MotoCorp, A. Srinivasa, said, “The company is looking at volumes of about 2,000 units per month from the South initially, and this could go up significantly as we reach out to various markets.”
The motorcycle is positioned as a performance bike which combines sturdiness and contemporary styling appealing to the youth.
The bike comes in four colours of Pearl White, Sports Red, Vibrant Blue and Panther Black.
The launch of Ignitor comes within weeks of introduction of Hero branded scooter Maestro.
During the Auto Expo in Delhi in January, it had showcased Ignitor along with the yet-to-be launched 110cc motorcycle Passion X Pro.
