Hindustan Construction Company in joint venture with Samsung C&T has bagged a contract worth Rs 866 crore from the Delhi Metro for construction of a tunnel.
The order is for design and construction of the 4.4 km long tunnel on Janakpuri West–Kalindi Kunj corridor under Phase III of the metro development.
HCC said this was the fifth contract awarded to the consortium by the Delhi Metro. HCC and Samsung are 50:50 partners in the joint venture and HCC is the leader of the association. The project is scheduled for completion in 39 months.
The contract also include construction of three underground metro stations and related work at Janakpuri West, Dabri Mor and Dashrath Puri and interchange facilities between existing elevated metro station and the proposed underground metro stations.
