HSIL Ltd has posted a profit of ₹25.50 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2018, up 63.67 per cent as against a profit of ₹15.58 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company reported revenue of ₹735.72 crore for the December quarter, up 27 per cent as against ₹579.45 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The consumer business division of the company grew 55 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) in the quarter and the packaging business saw strong growth in revenue of 30 per cent year-on-year.

Sandip Somany, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, HSIL, said, “These solid sales gains, along with cost efficiencies generated ₹25.50 crore profit for us this quarter. Our substantial investment in businesses outside of bathware space are yielding results, and this is visible from our initial success of plastic pipes and fittings business and profitability of consumer business.”
