Ingsophy, an arm of Pune-based Neilsoft Ltd, an engineering consulting firm, has signed an MoU with Chicago-based Environmental Systems Design Inc (ESD) for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) consulting in residential, industrial and commercial projects in the country.

The two partners eye a business opportunity especially after the announcement relating to the development of 100 smart cities in India. "We are excited about the vision as that will create great opportunity for the MEP segment," ESD Chairman and CEO, Raj Gupta, said at a media interaction here.

Ketan Bakshi, Chairman of Ingsophy explained that big ambitious projects will also boost prospects for the need for MEP consulting. For Sardar Patel's tallest statute, The Statue of Unity project, Neilsoft had conducted the initial MEP drawings of the project. "We see great potential with such projects coming up in the state. Also, we have done MEP designs for two towers at GIFT City near Gandhinagar," said Ketan Bakshi, Managing Director, Neilsoft Ltd.

Neilsoft opened its second centre in India at Ahmedabad with a team size of 45 persons. "We plan to increase our manpower strength to 300 by April 2018. Our engineering centre in Ahmedabad will cater to Indian customers as well as international clients in the Construction, Process and Manufacturing segments.
