City-based based medical care group KMC Speciality Hospital is investing about Rs 250 crore in the next couple of years to expand its footprint across Tamil Nadu and other southern States.
Established 12 years ago with 20 beds, the hospital is now a 200-bed super speciality medical care centre with two locations in Tiruchi.
The Group is set to open a 100-bed hospital with OP wards in Chennai within the next 4-6 weeks, Dr S. Chandrakumar, Managing Director, Kavery Hospital, told PTI.
The Chennai unit, in the second phase, would add another 100 beds with special focus on Cardiology and other disciplines with digital radiology, interventional radiology lab, ultrasound cardiac imaging etc, he said.
It is also planning to establish a super speciality hospital at Hosur, the construction of which would start by September, he said.
