Kirloskar Oil Engines today said that it has signed a licence agreement with Japan’s Daihatsu Diesel Manufacturing Company to manufacture diesel engines.
However, the company has not disclosed the financial terms of the deal.
“Kirloskar Oil Engines has entered into a licence agreement with Daihatsu Diesel Manufacturing Company, Japan for manufacture of diesel engines in range of 610 KW to 2,560 KW to cater to the commercial marine market segment,” the Indian firm said in a regulatory filing.
The effective date of this agreement is subject to the necessary approvals.
Shares of the company closed 3.53 per cent up at Rs 148 on the BSE.
