The LeEco range of televisions that will be available only online in LeMall.com and Flipkart from August 10, will be available offline too in a few months..

Speaking to BusinessLine, Atul Jain, COO, LeEco India, said there were plans to make the televisions available in LeEco’s Experience Centres by October.

He said the comprehensive ecosystem -- access to one of the largest content libraries in India -- and 5TB of cloud storage, combined with longer product warranties (two years) and four-year warranty on panels (against just one or two years offered by other companies), would give LeEco a clear edge over the competition.

Atul Jain said there were no plans to introduce lower-end televisions like HD TVs. He said there would be enough 4K programming and content available for 4K televisions in the near future.

There were also no plans to get into the sub-55-inch segment as the 4K effect would be better in bigger screens.

LeEco had the advantage of starting off with 333 service centres across the country. There will also be a 24x7 call centre, offering services in nine languages, he said.

Atul Jain said LeEco had no sales estimates. He said the reception for the televisions when they hit the market (users will be able to book the televisions on LeMall and Flipkart from August 10-12) will enable LeTV to get a hang of the sales figure.
