Deteriorating air quality being a major concern in India, Magneto CleanTech has come up with a product that traps bacteria and germs. The product can be fixed with any type of air-conditioner and costs around ₹40-45 per sq ft.
“Now that food is sanitised and water purified, it’s time to tackle air pollution,” said Himanshu Agrawal, CEO and Founder, Magneto CleanTech.
The company was formed in March 2018. It is self-funded. Agarwal expects it to break even in the next three years. “It is not a short-term project. Through this we are trying to make a social impact and there is lot of R&Dinvestment and building up to be done,” he added.
Right now, the majority of the customers are in Delhi-NCR market, but it is also expanding to cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahemdabad and Hyderabad.
“We were looking for a technology which can reduce PM 2.5 level and provide a better quality of air within the premises and it is when we got to know about the start-up. After checking a few samplings, we selected them,” said Girish Pawan, Chief Engineer at Leela Chanakyapuri.
