Indian Oil Corporation Ltd's Mathura refinery has achieved the international benchmark of ISO 14064 – Greenhouse Gases Verification Statement.
The refinery is situated in the Taj Trapezium Zone. The certification deals with the quantification and reporting of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions and removals at the organisational level.
The verification was carried out by Bureau Veritas Certification, while the Greenhouse Gas emission inventory report was completed through the global consultancy firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the company said in a statement.
IOC's Director (Refineries), Mr B N Bankapur, said that all refineries of IOC are in an advanced stage of acquiring the ISO-14064 benchmark by bringing in transparency on carbon disclosure.
