Michelin, TVS set up tyre retread store

Michelin Tyres has inaugurated its certified tyre retreading store in Hyderabad in collaboration with TVS Tread.

This is aimed at bringing quality retread solutions for the commercial vehicle segment including truck and bus customers in the region, according to a statement.

This new store from Michelin and TVS Tread, part of the TVS Group, will provide quality retreading solutions for radial tyres and thereby help reduce operational costs for transporters.

This retread store will further help in differentiating performance of Michelin tyres by improving on the second and third lives of the Michelin casings.

The store will offer the France based tyre major Michelin group brand Recamic tread for use on all Michelin casings besides offering TVS treads on non-Michelin casings. It is designed and certified to offer retreads for all radial casings.

B Kumar, Country Manager, Channel Development, Michelin India said, "The collaboration builds on our strategy to provide quality retread and repair solutions that last long and also prove to be value for money for the fleet owners."
