With a view to increasing smartphone sales in rural markets, Celkon has launched mobile handsets with embedded keypad in all major Indian languages.
“We are launching the software in a few models now. But 90 per cent of all our models will have this option as new stocks arrive,” Y. Guru, CMD of Celkon, said.
Using the in-built keypad, people can type in Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Assamese.
