Mother’s Recipe, a Pune-based manufacturer of a range of pickles, gravy mixes amongst other food products has launched its e-store.

One of the key aspects of the portal is that it will allow consumers access to the firm’s basket of region-specific products from all over India.

These include traditional cuisine products like Kerala’s Kaduku Mango, Madras Thokku, Andhra’s tomato/gongura, Chettinad Chicken, Malabar Fish Curry, Kerala Roast Chicken or Nawabi Chicken.

Sanjay Desai, executive director, Desai Brothers Ltd, of which Mother’s Recipe is a part, said in a statement, “We wanted to provide our consumer with easy access to our entire product range. From the company’s perspective this venture will enable us reach out to a wider segment of consumers.”

The company which will use a centralized warehouse in Pune will deliver the ordered products via FedEx courier within 5-7 working days.

In the online space, Mother’s Recipe is currently selling its products through 18 e-grocers such as Big Basket, Grofers, Amazon.in, Aaramshop, Farm2kitchen, MyGrahak, Callandorder, FreshnDaily amongst others.

Though at present, online sales contribute very little to the company's total revenue, Mother’s Recipe, which is eyeing a growth of 30% in the current financial year from a turnover of over Rs 200 crore in FY 15 expects this pie to grow exponentially in the coming years.
