Natco Pharma Ltd’s net profit decreased 8.6 per cent at Rs 29.57 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 compared to Rs 32.37 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.
The total revenue of the company increased 6.6 per cent at Rs 237 crore compared to Rs 222 crore in the same period last year.
``The growth in profit for the quarter was constrained due to delay in exports to South America. However, sales of domestic formulation segments, including sofosbuvir, continue to do well. The company expects stronger sales growth with higher profitability, during H2 of FY2016,’’ M Adinarayana, Vice-President, Natco Pharma said in a release issued here on Friday.
Natco’s scrip ended flat at Rs 2,461. 05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday.
