Natco Pharma Ltd’s consolidated net profit increased 69.8 per cent to Rs 47.65 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2016 compared with Rs 28 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Total revenue of the Hyderabad-based company grew 45.4 per cent at Rs 325 crore from Rs 224 crore in the year-ago period.

“The company’s growth was predominantly driven by increased sales of its oncology and hepatitis C products in India,’’ Natco said in a release issued here on Tuesday.

The results have been reported in accordance with the Indian Accounting Standards.

The board of directors has recommended an interim divided of ₹0.75 on each equity share of ₹2 each for the year 2016-17.

Natco’s scrip was down 1.65 per cent at ₹625.80 on the BSE.
