Mining was never easy, and today who would know it better than Naveen Jindal.
The businessman-turned-Congress MP may find himself answering questions on the alleged coal block allocation scam, after the CBI's fresh FIR on the issue named him.
Not so long ago, Jindal strongly refuted all allegations.
Jindal, the company said, was in London.
Jindal Steel & Power’s office wore a deserted look in the morning, but the employees reported for work in the afternoon.
The CBI searched the company’s office in the morning.
Dasari’s house searched
The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted raids in select locations in Hyderabad on Tuesday as part of its probe into the multi-crore coal scam.
According to reliable sources, houses of some private individuals, including that of former Union Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayana Rao, and some corporate offices were searched by separate CBI teams.
CBI had earlier registered a case against Narayana Rao for his alleged role in the scam.
