Our Bureau The Chandigarh Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Wednesday issued a notice to Omaxe Group Chairman Rohtas Goel over alleged financial mismanagement in the company on the basis of a complaint filed by his younger brother and former Group JMD Sunil Goel.
On September 19, Sunil Goel, who has 20 per cent share in the firm, approached the NCLT, seeking his reinstatement as director of the company and status quo on the firm’s shareholdings. He is the second largest shareholder of the Omaxe Group.
NCLT’s New Delhi Bench had earlier directed Buildwell Builders Pvt Ltd, an associate company of Omaxe, to maintain status quo in the shareholding pattern and constitution of the board of directors till further orders are issued. It has also indicated that Sunil Goel be allowed access to his office and the records of the company.
The case will be further heard by the Chandigarh Bench on November 16.
