Detergent maker Nirma Ltd has petitioned Competition Commission of India to withdraw its proposed amalgamation into its subsidiary Nirma Industries Pvt Ltd (NIPL) saying that the scheme was not beneficial to the company.
Both Nirma and NIPL had send a letter to the Commission stating that the proposed amalgamation could not be finalised as the companies were advised that it was not beneficial.
Accordingly, Nirma Ltd and NIPL requested the Commission to take on record the withdrawal notice.
