Iron ore mining major NMDC has posted a profit of Rs 844.40 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2017, up 10 per cent as against Rs 770.76 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
The company posted total income of Rs 2,531.18 crore for the second quarter as against Rs 2,012.64 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
For the first half, the mining company posted a total income of Rs 5,501.31 crore and profit of Rs 1,813.66 crore as against income of Rs 4,078.46 crore and profit of Rs 1,482.10 crore for the first half in the previous fiscal.
For the fiscal ended March 31, 2017, the company had posted a profit of Rs 2,589.6 crore and income of Rs 9,738.45 crore.
However, sequentially, the turnover was down by 15 per cent at Rs 2,421 core as against Rs 2842 crore.
