Onyx Smart is a voice integrated smart air conditioner powered by Alexa, driven by in-house ViOT (Voice Internet of Things) to control it with voice.
Smart home app
Onida has developed smart home application which makes the smartphone a single platform to control the all remote-operated home appliances. The app is available on both iOS and Google Play Store.
The two variants of Onyx Smart series — inverter 5-Star and 3-Star in 1-tonne and 1.5-tonne categories — are priced between ₹44,990 and ₹63,990. The two variants of Genio are priced at ₹46,990-₹55,990.
G Sundar, CEO, MIRC Electronics which owns the Onida brand said the launch of voice integrated smart air conditioners will boost sales which registered a phenomenal growth of 100 per cent last quarter.
Along with the smart technology, Onida will introduce magnified cooling with multiplier cooling inverter technology which delivers 120 per cent magnified cooling in 30 seconds. It will cool beyond the rated capacity, due to multiplier inverter technology.
