Sanitaryware maker Parryware, an arm of Roca Bathroom Products, eyes massive expansion across the country to double its turnover, from the existing ₹1,000 crore, in the next 3-4 years.
The company will open exclusive showrooms and product studios at select locations to reach out to high-end consumer groups.
At the inauguration of the company’s first exclusive showroom in Ahmedabad, the first in Gujarat, KE Ranganathan, MD, Roca Bathroom Products, said the company will open 10 more such showrooms in Gujarat over the next 18 months.
The firm holds nearly 35 per cent market share in the overall ₹3,000-crore sanitaryware market, of which organised players have a share of ₹1,600-1,800 crore.
Ranganathan said: “Gujarat is a ₹100-crore-plus market and has witnessed a positive shift to the organised segment in the past 10 years. The market has grown consistently over the past few years in Ahmedabad, and we are confident the consumers will be inspired to transform their bathrooms with easy access to a wide range of bathroom solutions from Parryware. We plan to have exclusive Parryware stores in other cities like such as Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. We aim to grow at 30 per cent annually for the coming years, to be among the top three in Gujarat.”
The company has seven manufacturing facilities across India, and has a total installed capacity of 4 million pcs per annum.
“In the next two years, we will reach full capacity and will require additional capacities. We have started evaluating the prospects for a new factory, and Gujarat is among the preferred locations. A decision is yet to be taken on this.”
Ranganathan said the company currently exports around 2 per cent of its revenues, while it plans to increase the share of exports to 7 per cent in the next three years by focussing more on overseas markets.
