Driven primarily by profit on sale of property, automotive battery-maker Exide Industries reported a 97 per cent jump in net profit to ₹268 crore for Q2 FY19, against ₹136 crore in Q2 FY18.
Revenue from operations rose 15 per cent to ₹2,720 crore (₹2,358 crore). An exceptional item of ₹108 crore for the quarter represents profit on sale of property, the company said in a release.
