Having established presence in the northern and western markets, home shopping player SHOP CJ, formerly known as STAR CJ Network India, has set its eyes on the south. The firm is in the process of expanding its distribution network in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

SHOP CJ is a 50:50 joint venture between South Korean home shopping major CJ O Shopping and Providence Equity Partners group. The firm changed its nomenclature to SHOP CJ after Providence Equity Partners group replaced Star in the joint venture.

“The home-shopping industry is growing rapidly in India. We are witnessing a similar trend in the two States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” Shop CJ Chief Executive Officer Kenny Shin said here on Thursday.
