Australia-based StayWell Hospitality Group is set to launch a new lifestyle hotel brand soon, its CEO and Managing Director Simon Wan said on Tuesday.

This will be the group’s third brand as it currently operates 35 hotels globally under the upscale Park Regis and mid-scale Leisure Inn.

“We will launch a new brand in London in six weeks which will primarily target the young millennial,” Wan told BusinessLine , without divulging the name of the new brand.

Wan added that five hotels will come up under the new brand in locations such as New York and Mumbai.

With one of the largest youth population in the world and the potential for high economic growth, India is an important market for the group, which wants 30 properties up and running here by 2019. In India, it has three operational hotels in Gurgaon and Jaipur.

It plans to open new hotels in Hyderabad, Goa, Jodhpur, Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata and Bengaluru in the coming year.

“We are also in advanced negotiations with two hotel owners in Mumbai and Ahmedabad and will soon convert four hotels to our brand Park Regis,” he said.

“In India, we will open five hotels this year,” Wan added.

“Our plan is to achieve 100 hotels globally by 2018,” he said, adding that India and China markets will play a key role in its growth.
