Pune-based player of products and solutions for telecom and power transmission Sterlite Technologies has seen a 325 per cent jump in its Q3 net profit.
The company has posted a profit-after-tax of Rs 23 crore in Q315 versus Rs 5.42 crore in the same period last year.
Net income in the two quarters being compared stood at Rs 894 crore against Rs 680 crore, showing a rise of 32 per cent year-on-year.
With manufacturing facilities in India, China and Brazil and exports spanning across all major regions in the world, Sterlite’s order book stands at Rs 4,700 crore, a rise of nearly 80 per cent in comparison to that a year ago.
During intra-day trade on the BSE, the Sterlite scrip soared 14.6 per cent and at 2.30 p.m., the scrip was trading higher by 7.8 per cent at Rs 67.85 apiece.
