Higher capacity utilisation and cost control have contributed to Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd reporting a 24 per cent jump in net profit for the third quarter of the current year. It reported a net profit of ₹ 46.83 crore (₹ 37.66 crore) on a total income of ₹ 481.12 crore (₹ 474.59 crore) for the quarter ended December 31, 2015.
On the BSE, the company’s shares of ₹ 10 closed lower at ₹ 251.80 over the previous close of ₹ 254.70.
