Alcoholic beverages maker United Spirits (USL) today said it has undertaken an organisational review in a bid to align resources behind the performance ambition.
The company’s spokesperson, in a statement said, the firm is making changes to its organisational structure and the functioning, which will simplify business in pursuit of becoming the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer goods company in the world.
Any savings that occur from the changes will be re-invested in growth opportunities for the business and brands, the statement said.
The statement comes in the backdrop of media reports that the company, which was acquired by UK-based spirits major Diageo Plc, having a majority control, has initiated organisational rejig.
The company, however, has not divulged the restructuring exercise.
“Wherever possible, resources and decision-making will be closer to consumers enhancing our responsiveness and agility,” the USL spokesperson said.
