Vikram Solar, a Kolkata-based solar PV module manufacturer and EPC solutions and rooftop solar provider, has bagged a contract from National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) to install a 140 MW solar plant in Bilhaur, Kanpur, UP.
The contract is a first part of planned 225 MW installation in the State.
Completion
The solar plant spread across 700 acres allotted for the project is expected to meet the energy needs of the area, the company said. The project is expected to be completed by September 2020 (as per tender guidelines).
According to Kuldeep Jain, COO-EPC, Vikram Solar, the company has previously handled two projects for NTPC – 50 MW solar plant in Mandsaur, MP, and 130 MW solar plant in Bhadla, Rajasthan.
Vikram Solar’s EPC portfolio in India currently stands at around 800 MW, which includes both commissioned and under execution projects for companies such as NTPC, WBSDCL, GIPCL, BEL, BHEL, ISRO, IOCL, SBI, among others.
