DM Foundation, part of DM Healthcare Group that has presence across the Gulf countries and India, has launched a health portal in Malayalam. The content in the portal is supported by specialist and experienced doctors in various disciplines from around the world. It offers in-depth information on major ailments, along with content on lifestyle-related issues.

According to Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman, DM Healthcare Group, it has been difficult to find information about an ailment and how to go about its treatment, especially in native Indian languages. The portal has been developed as the first source to get all information on anything related to healthcare. Some of the best known names in the healthcare industry would be available to answer the queries and the group planned to replicate the portal in other languages also, he said.

Apart from a panel of doctors, celebrities will share their health and beauty secrets with the public. The portal also addresses the need of job seekers in both India and abroad in the healthcare sector by providing information on jobs and career opportunities for doctors and paramedical personnel.

The DM Foundation is involved in various activities and some of the ongoing and planned not-for-profit programmes include establishment of community dialysis centres, cancer radiation centres, early cancer detection centres, free paediatric and adult cardiac surgeries and establishment of special schools for physically and mentally challenged across Kerala.
