Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation (AP State Govt undertaking) is organising Lepakshi cotton silk artificial exhibition through Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium, Gunfoundry, Hyderabad, up to February 27 at Gangothri Hall here.
This is an exclusive cotton–silk-artificial jewellery exhibition, being organised on all-India level by AP Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd.
The objective of this programme is to promote and create market to the handloom products of the weavers and creative work of traditional sarees, and artificial jewellery.
All varieties of cotton and silks of Andhra Pradesh and other States such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Bihar are on display and sales during this event.
About 50 master weavers/designers and manufactures will participate to exhibit their products worth about Rs 2crore and sell directly to the customers.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the City Mayor, Mr Tony Chammany, on Friday.
