Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management (AKGIM), Ghaziabad, is hosting a two-day conference on ‘Challenges of Globalisation and Strategy for Competitiveness.' “We shall soon be one of the most prominent business schools in the country,” said Mr Rajiv Ranjan Thakur, Director AKGIM. The Chairman of AKGIM, Mr Ashok Pal, said India of 2011 is diametrically different from India of 1990s. Mr Arun Kumar Jha, Director General, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, said that “Contribution of small-scale industries in India is only eight per cent of the total GDP whereas the same in China is 60 per cent.” The book of proceedings, published by Macmillan India was released at the event. Five international journals have agreed to publish top five papers of the conference.
