Cashew prices rose Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today, largely on pick-up in buying activity on firm domestic demand amid low stocks.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 were up by Rs 10 to settle at Rs 640-650, Rs 580-590, Rs 525-530 and Rs 420-435 per kg, respectively. Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists owing to domestic demand against low stocks mainly pushed up the prices.
