Pepper shot up on Thursday on firmer Vietnam market and strong buying support.
May contract hit first circuit level.
On NCDEX, May contract moved up by 748 to close at Rs 27,139 a quintal.
June and July increased by Rs 751 and Rs 709 respectively to close at Rs 27,605 and Rs 28,020.
Total volume was up by 4,994 tonnes to close at 10,958 tonnes and total net open position moved up by 830 tonnes to 14,488 tonnes.
Spot prices increased Rs 500 to Rs 25,400 a quintal for ungarbled pepper and for garbled pepper it was Rs 26,200.
