Edible oils prices were mixed on Wednesday on back of routine activities due to need-based demand. Local refineries kept their rates unchanged due to weak futures amid slack demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut, soya and sunflower refined oil were steady. Palmolein lost by ₹2 while rapeseed and cotton refined oil rose by ₹2 and ₹1 for 10 kg each.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹513 JNPT, super palmolein ₹541 and soyabean refined oil ₹603. Ruchi traded palmolein at ₹512 JNPT, soyabean refined oil ₹601, sunflower refined oil ₹701. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹513, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹601 and sunflower oil ₹705. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin ruled steady at ₹1,560 and loose (10 kg) at ₹1,000.
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 950 (950), soya refined oil 600 (600), sunflower exp. ref. 640 (645), sunflower ref. 700 (700), rapeseed ref. oil 880 (878), rapeseed exp. ref. 850 (848), cottonseed ref. oil 609 (608) and palmolein 507 (508).
