A farmer of the Ganga Nursery shows a cluster of water apples ( Syzygium samarangense) or 'Pumarosa' at the 'Horti-Expo ' in Hyderabad on Wednesday that has been grown through drip irrigation and in-situ water harvesting at Medak District in Andhra Pradesh .These succulent apples are grown in the hilly regions of J&K are now being grown by farmers in AP . Also called as the wax apple for it's smooth texture ,the exotic fruit is priced at Rs 20 -Rs 25 a piece. - PHOTO: P V SIVAKUMAR
