Speculation and weak demand have capped the uptrend in the prices of chana with chana (kanta) in Indore mandis quoted at ₹4,200- 4,250 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹4,150 and chana (vishal) at ₹4,000- 4,100 a quintal. Chana dal remained stable with chana dal (average) quoted at ₹5,100-5,200 a quintal, chana dal (medium) at ₹5,300-5,400, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,500-5,600 a quintal. Dollar chana also traded low at ₹4,500-4,800 a quintal on weak domestic and export demand.
