The naval dockyard hosted a one-day seminar and product exhibition by the Bharat Electronics Ltd. here on Thursday. It was inaugurated by Vice-Admiral Sunil Lanba, AVSM, the Chief of the Staff of the Eastern Naval Command. Representatives from the various naval establishments in the country attended the seminar.
On the occasion, Mr Lanba said self-reliance in critical technologies should be the primary aim of the nation and the services and all stake-holders should strive towards that end. He commended the BEL for arranging the seminar to discuss issues of importance to the industry and the Navy.
BEL showcased its radar, sonar and communication capabilities apart from other products.
