A day after the Trinamool Congress chief, Ms Mamata Banerjee, demanded sacking of the Railway Minister, Mr Dinesh Trivedi, the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, today said that the Government will “consider” replacing Mr Dinesh Trivedi if such a situation develops.
“Well, if anything like this develops, we will consider it,” Dr Singh told reporters in Parliament House.
He was asked when he will consider replacing Mr Trivedi following demands by Ms Banerjee who is unhappy at her party’s minister proposing hike in passenger fares in the Railway Budget.
