East-Central Rly announces new trains

East Central Railway has launched a weekly service between New Jalpaiguri (West Bengal) and Ajmer (Rajasthan).

The maiden run will be from Ajmer on March 5 and from New Jalpaiguri on March 7, said a release. The train will leave Ajmer every Saturday at 6.30 a.m. to reach New Jalpaiguri the next day at 6.35 p.m. From New Jalpaiguri, the train will leave every Monday at 8.15 a.m. to reach Ajmer on Tuesday at 9.50 p.m., the release adds.

North-East Frontier Railway announced more summer specials trains to handle the rush, said a release.

Kolkata-Kamakhya (Guwahati) Weekly Super Fast will leave Kolkata every Tuesday from March 8 to June 28, and Kamakhya every Monday from March 7 to June 27. One Malda Town-New Delhi Weekly Special will be run between April 8 and June 27, leaving Malda Town every Friday and New Delhi every Wednesday, the release adds.
