Hindusthan Shipyard Ltd here on Saturday delivered a vessel - m.v Good Precedent - to the Chennai-based Goodearth Maritime Ltd. Rear-Admiral K.C Sekhar, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, exchanged the documents with the General Manager of GML, Mr Hrushikesh Narasimhan, at the handing-over ceremony in the ship on the occasion.
Rear-Admiral Sekhar said the 53,000-DWT bulker is the second in the series of six such ships being built for GML and it had been built in a record time of 18 months. He said the third, fourth and fifth ships in the Diamond series would be delivered to the company on schedule, even though there was a slight delay of one or two months at present in the construction. The schedule for the sixth bulker was yet to be finalised, he added.
